Seeking Singer/Actors for musical “A Christmas Carol” – The Players Theatre – NYC
Be Bold! Production, a NYC based theatre company in its 10th season and in residence at the Historic Players Theatre in the West Village will hold auditions for an original musical “A Christmas Carol” at the theatre located at 115 MacDougal Street (between West 3rd and Bleecker). Seeking actors of all types (age 18-65) who sing. Show opens on November 25th and runs through December 30th 8 performances a week. Rehearsals begin week of October 30th . Pay is $20 a performance. Non-union.
Bring 16 bars of a up-tempo musical theatre song – accompanist will be provided. Please bring pix and resume.

Bob Cratchit – (25 – 40 Tenor)
Scrooge’s clerk, a kind, mild, and very poor man with a large family. Though treated harshly by his boss, Cratchit remains a humble and dedicated employee.
Ghost of Christmas Past: (Female 25 – 50) Soprano.
The first spirit to visit Scrooge and take him on a tour of his past. Gentle and kind but strong in a motherly way. Ethereal.
The Ghost of Christmas Present – (Female/Male 25-50 Mezzo or Baritone)
The second spirit to visit Scrooge, a jolly soul. His/her lifespan is restricted to Christmas Day. He/she escorts Scrooge on a tour of his contemporaries’ Holiday celebrations.
Fred – (20-35 Baritone)
Scrooge’s nephew, a genial man who loves Christmas. He invites Scrooge to his Christmas party each and every year, only to be refused by his grumpy uncle.
Fezziwig – (30-50 Baritone)
The jovial merchant with whom the young Scrooge apprenticed. Fezziwig was renowned for his wonderful Christmas parties.
Belle – (20-30 soprano)
A beautiful woman who Scrooge loved deeply when he was a young man. Belle broke off their engagement after Scrooge became consumed with greed and the lust for wealth. She later married another man.
Mrs. Cratchit – (20-30 Soprano) Bob’s wife, a kind and loving woman.
The Portly Gentlemen – (30-50 Tenor/Baritone)
Two gentlemen who visit Scrooge at the beginning of the tale seeking charitable contributions. Scrooge promptly throws them out of his office. Upon meeting one of them on the street after his visitations, he promises to make lavish donations to help the poor.
Agy and Midge: (25-50) Alto / Mezzo.
Agy is a maid and Midge a wash woman. Both are unsavory characters who rob Scrooge once he is dead.
